Child of God

John 1:10-13 He was in the world and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.  He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.  But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Father, everything we see, touch, hear, taste, and smell came through You.  Everything that came through You came with the purpose of reflecting and glorifying You.  Nothing created was meant for harm until the foolish, prideful, sinful hearts of man laid hold of Your creation and twisted Your intended purpose for its own evil desires.  And why?  Because we think there is a way to improve upon Your perfection.  Yet somehow, in Your infinite wisdom, You planned for all of this, know how You will use the mess we've made for Your good and glory, and somehow still manage to redeem us along the way.  Thank You for opening our eyes and hearts to You, for allowing us to see things through Your perspective, for giving us Your heart and mind to seek You first in all these things, and for graciously and mercifully having a plan to restore all things to You.
